As Canada’s only registered and voluntary foundation dedicated to pancreatic cancer (Charitable # 84870 1967 RR0001), our hope is that researchers will discover a screening test that will enable doctors to diagnose this disease at an earlier and more treatable stage, thereby significantly increasing the odds for survival.

Ways to Fundraise
Each year in North America, nearly 45,000 individuals are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Currently, a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer carries the worst prognosis amongst all cancers, in part because there are no effective early detection tests and patients are often asymptomatic until advanced stages of the disease limiting treatment options.
PANCREATIC CANCER Canada is committed to supporting research that addresses these key areas: early detection and effective treatments. As with other cancers, the early detection of pancreatic cancer will promise to save many lives, as it will enable doctors to diagnose and treat the cancer before it has spread.
There are many ways you can help us make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Here are just a few ideas:
- Honor your loved ones on birthdays, anniversaries, Mothers Day/Fathers Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, or any other occasion with a donation
- Create a tribute for a loved one - (see "In memory of"... and Tributes in site map)
- Ask your friends or relatives to give a donation on your wedding day, birthday, shower or other special occasion in lieu of a gift
- Host a fund raising dinner. Invite your guests to a party or dinner at your home and request a twenty-five to fifty dollar donation per person. The donation is tax deductible, and so is the expense of the party
- Ask your doctor if you can leave Pancreatic Cancer Canada brochures in the office waiting room, as a resource for other patients. Call other oncologists in your area, and ask them to do the same
- Participate in one of our upcoming events
- Consider planned giving in your estate planning
